National Pharmacist Day is celebrated each year on Sunday 12th January to shine a spotlight on the vital and incredible work Pharmacists and Pharmacy Teams do behind the scenes to improve patient’s health.
At WWL, we have approximately 45 Pharmacists within our Pharmacy Team, working in a range of roles from patient facing ward-based services to specialist roles such as medicines safety, medicines information, clinical trials, cancer services and community services, to name a few. All are integral members of the multi-disciplinary team, working with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, evidence-based, safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical therapies to optimise patient’s and the wider community’s health.
Everyone at WWL wants to thank all our pharmacists and whole Pharmacy Team for their consistent hard work and dynamic approach, in an ever-changing healthcare system, overcoming the challenges we face with the expanding diversity and complexity of pharmaceutical and patient care.
