Qualifications: BSc (Hon), MBChB, MRCP, FCEM
Shams trained at Edinburgh University, Medical School from 1991 to 1997 and undertook further Medical Training from 1999 to 2001. Shams spent a year practicing Emergency Medicine Melbourne, Australia, 2001-2002. Shams then undertook Specialist Registrar Training from 2005 to 2009 and became a Consultant at RAEI in January 2010.
