Dr Andrew Starkie

Consultant in Emergency Medicine

Originally from the neighbouring town of Bolton Andrew initially studied for a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and then a masters in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine both at the University of Manchester. He went on to study medicine at the University of Leicester and qualified in 2013. Andrew completed his foundation years as a doctor over in Preston and landed on a career in emergency medicine with training taking place in Hospitals throughout the North West. He finished speciality training in 2022 here in Wigan and is pleased with the placement and the friendly team, taking up a consultant post here in Wigan.
