Dr Nyuk Cho Lee is a consultant physician with specialist interest in respiratory medicine and medical education. She has been appointed as the Undergraduate Tutor for University of Manchester in the Trust since August 2015. She has also been appointed as the Foundation Programme Director since July 2018.
Dr Lee has been appointed as an Honorary Lecturer of the University of Manchester since February 2017.
Dr Lee graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2000 (MB, BCh, BAO, LRCPI, LRCSI, second class upper honours).
She obtained MRCPI in 2003 and pursued training in Acute Medicine and Respiratory Medicine in Dublin, Ireland, obtaining her Core Consultant Training (CCT) qualification in 2010.
Post CCT, she has worked as a lecturer and foundation year tutor with the University College Dublin. She was involved in MRCPI examinations and organisation of under-graduate medical examination for clinical year students and became an examiner for the Irish Pre-Registration Entry Exam (PRES) with the Irish Medical Council.
Dr Lee was awarded her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by the University College Dublin, Ireland in March 2014. Her thesis title is "Sleep Related Breathing Disorders in Chronic Respiratory Disease". Dr Lee graduated from the PG Cert in Medical Education in May 2014 from the University of Manchester.
Dr Lee has several publications in medical education and respiratory medicine.
