Consultant Respiratory Physician

Dr Ashish completed his higher specialist training in Merseyside between 2005-2011. He is skilled in all aspects of Respiratory medicine but has an interest in Interstitial Lung Disease, Bronchiectasis, Pleural Diseases and Non –Invasive Ventilation. During his training he has gained accredited training and qualification in NIV and Thoracic Ultrasound.
He has spent two years as a research fellow at the adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, during which, he has gained a broad experience in care of patients with adult Cystic Fibrosis and Non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis. He has also worked at University Hospital Aintree which is the tertiary referral centre for Interstitial Lung Disease in the Merseyside region.

He has over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals which include original papers, review articles, case reports and abstracts presented at national and international conferences. He continues to be actively involved in clinical research and audit in his current role and strives to improve patient services and experience. He was appointed to WWL in October 2011.
