Qualifications: BDS, IQE, FFDRCSIre(Oral Surgery), MSurgDentRCSEdin, FDSRCSEdin, PG Diploma Clinical Education RCSP Glasgow.
Mr Mani has been in the trust since 2008. He has over 24 years NHS experience having worked in various leading Maxillofacial units around the UK, whilst pursuing his higher surgical training.
His main base is Wigan, with peripheral sessions at Leigh. At Wigan he has out patient clinics and operating sessions. Mr Mani has completed a mini residency program in advance chronic orofacial pain management in the United States. He also leads the Conscious Sedation and the Joint Chronic Orofacial Pain service.
Academically, he is very motivated, lectures regularly, has publications and poster presentations in national journals and conferences. Mr Mani is also a Postgraduate trainer for DF2 and ST3OMFS trainees. Other responsibilities include Royal College Examiner, Treasurer BDA North West Hospital Group, Principle Investigator for a North West Research Project, Joint Trust Lead for WHO Checklist and Course Director Basic Oral Surgery and Implant cadaver course. Completed ILS. Mr Mani is very passionate about his work and was awarded the Employee of the month and nominated for the Employee of the year 2014.
