Miss Mobb’s undergraduate training was at the Middlesex Hospital, London. She commenced urological training at the Royal United Hospital, Bath in 1986. She then worked for and achieved my MD in the Leicester Hospitals renal transplant unit. Gillian subsequently worked in Newport, Gwent, and Birmingham before completing her senior urological training and gaining her higher fellowship and CCSY in Manchester.
She was appointed and worked as full time Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Bolton Hospital from October 1994 to her retirement in April 2011. Gillian joined a single handed urologist and undertook the full range of urological treatment, surgery and investigation. She initiated percutaneous stone surgery performing all the cases from 1995 to the end of her post. Miss Mobb was also responsible for the majority of minor paediatric day case surgery.
Since retirement she has worked on a sessional basis in four North West hospitals but now works only for WWL.
