Lymphoedema Service
OVERVIEW:
The Lymphodema Service is a multidisciplinary team of Nurses and Occupational Therapist. Patients with swelling are assessed and if appropriate a treatment programme is agreed.
- Who can access the service?
The service is open to all patients (over age 16) registered with the Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG), GP practices and Wigan Borough residents (including those not registered with a GP).
- How can people access the service?
All referrals received are triaged to assess eligibility for assessment by the team
Access to the service should be by written referral, letter or fax.
Healthcare professionals are able to contact the Lymphoedema team to discuss the referral if required, by telephoning the Long Term Condition Suite reception on 0300 707 1170. - Where is the service offered?
Patients are seen mainly at Boston House in Wigan.
Home visits may be available for Housebound patients. - Contact details
