Respiratory services at WWL include many sub specialties of thoracic medicine, including Sleep Service, Asthma Service, COPD unit, Lung Cancer Services, Community Breathlessness Clinic, inpatient services and outpatient services.

Respiratory services at WWL include many sub specialties of thoracic medicine, including Sleep Service, Asthma Service, COPD unit, Lung Cancer Services, Community Breathlessness Clinic, inpatient services and outpatient services.
The respiratory service has four Consultants as well as Specialist Nurses and Specialist Practitioners who deliver nurse-led clinics as well as visiting inpatients on the wards.
The service is usually accessed via referral from your GP.
- Sleep Service
Our Sleep Service is based in Area 6 at Leigh Infirmary. You will need to be referred to this service via your GP or via a consultant at WWL if you are an inpatient.
