Voulnteer's Week 2023 - 1st June - 7th June

This week is Volunteer’s Week!

We would like to thank all our WWL Volunteers for their encouragement and commitment to our patients, staff and visitors. The Trust is joining thousands of charities and voluntary organisations to recognise the contribution volunteers make across the UK and, with this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’, we hope to encourage people to be the change that we want to see and get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

At WWL, we are very fortunate, and incredibly proud to have volunteers who freely dedicate their time to help our staff and patients, without expecting anything in return, other than to make a difference and improve our patients care and experience. Below, you can read more about some of our Volunteers - many of whom have been with us for decades - and their roles at the Trust.

Silas Nicholls WWL Chief Executive says, "On behalf of the Executive Team at WWL, I would like to give my heartfelt thank you to all our WWL Volunteers; you truly are the unsung heroes of our WWL team. We really value the time that you give and all your contributions, recognising that you always go above and beyond to help our patients, visitors and staff.”

WWL currently has over 300 volunteers and is always on the lookout for more willing helpers to support its services. To sign up visit our website https://www.wwl.nhs.uk/volunteering-to-make-a-difference or email volunteer@wwl.nhs.uk
