Jen Radcliffe - Administration Apprenticeship
Jen Radcliffe
Learning & Development Assistant
I joined WWL as an Admin Apprentice in the Staff Experience Team, having previously been made redundant from my retail job. Joining WWL as an apprentice has given me the opportunity to learn new skills, and to learn more about the NHS.
My days are very varied, one day I can be creating and distributing mandatory training compliance reports, and the next I am helping facilitate a Trust induction for new starters. This variety helps me improve and learn different skills, and also keeps my role enjoyable as I am lucky to work with a wide range of staff.
During my apprenticeship I have taken every opportunity to learn. Sometimes this has meant working with other teams, getting involved in different projects, or spending time shadowing colleagues. I also know it will help me if I want to apply for a new role in the future.
It can be difficult to manage completing apprenticeship work alongside your day to day role but I have found it useful to set dedicated time each week to work on my assignments.
I am looking to start a Learning and Development Practitioner Level 3 apprenticeship this year to help me improve my knowledge around Learning and Development. I am looking forward to pushing myself further, by getting involved in new projects, and taking on additional responsibilities in the team.
